Connecting with my Pen Pal Stacy Standohar was much easier then I expected. I follow a lot of Chicago reporters on twitter and this is how I found her. on her twitter she had her website link, so I went to it and it had a “Get in Touch” fill out feature. I filled out my information explaining why I was contacting her and waited. A few hours later and Kacy emailed and texted me back saying she would happily be my Professional Pen Pal. She graduated with a journalism degree. She is a sports reporter and the social media director for CHGO podcast, She is a free-lance sideline reporter for ESPN+ and the Big East. She used to work for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Chicago Cubs, and covered softball for Athletes Unlimited. She also was a broadcaster for the Chicago Dogs which is an independent professional baseball team. She has a passion for baseball, and she also is very passionate about supporting women in the sports industry and covering women’s sports.
