The article titled Hacking for Good: Leveraging Hacker One data point to develop an economic model of bug bounty was interesting. The article discussed using the bug bounty policy to identify technological vulnerabilities in an organization’s network. I think the use of this policy is good for organizations to implement to analyze the strength of their security. The findings of this article were informative because they stated how unseasoned hackers are most inelastic; they have more time to hack an organization because they are eager for attention. Additionally, the article analyzed many components of the organization’s data and concluded that bug bounty is effective in measuring the strength of the organization’s network.
