1. Describe four ethical issues that arise when storing electronic information about individuals.
- I think the biggest issue would have to be the idea of privacy, because everything we do today has to do a lot with privacy with information we give out or store in computers or data systems. another I think would be the copyright of our own information that is being stored and the misuse of it being handed out to other people without them realizing that its someone’s personal info that they have been given. Another issue would be piracy which is just simply someone selling someone’s information to another company or selling information just in general without the consent from that person to be able to sell it. I think one more that has to deal with the CIA triad would be confidentiality which is the idea of someone knowing that the information that has been given to a company is held safe and secret without the notion that someone who shouldn’t be looking through their information isn’t.
2. Compare cybersecurity risks in the U.S. and another country.
- I believe the United States has a pretty secure network when it comes to cybersecurity due to how evolved of a nation we are compared to a country like Russia. Because it seems like the U.S. has many backups to protect our network from big time hackers from like China and other major countries, but even hackers that live in random countries who try and steal information from our networks. I always hear about Russia getting exposed for this and that from stuff that is taking straight from their networks but I rarely hear anything about the U.S. getting exposed for information getting out or being stolen from hackers.
