In the present, even technology makes humanity has more comfort that makes many benefits to their life; however, technology also be a tool for bad people to make something bad or unacceptable for their own purpose to society for example cyberbullying, data breach, piracy/copyright violations, etc. It is different from traditional crime, but it is also complicated that has some topics intercept with white-collar crime. Moreover, technology is always changing and changing so fast. It makes it difficult for the legal system at every level for keeping pace with advanced technology for that reason.

So, the legal system needs to adapt to make the process from protecting people to sentence punishment criminals to be faster and more proper to the crime that happens from technology. If you ask me to do something to make the legal system be better from this situation. First, I will order the legislature to make clear laws and policies about crime with technology or cybercrime because sometimes when has cybercrime case happen the legislature will distinguish it from the law that does not adapt to modern time, it will make cybercrime case may become white-collar crime case that even has something in white-collar crime has same with cybercrime, but cybercrime usually has very organized and professional, moreover, cybercrime also usually has a deep specific purpose and harder to detect that different from white-collar crime. It makes legislature and officers difficult to prosecute from the unclear law to cybercrime and lack of evidence but if we clearly have a law and process to comprehend cybercrime it will make a more easy and rapid process to the legal system for local, state, and especially federal that making faster response for technological advancement.

After the nation gets a clear law about cybercrime, the legislature should support the nation to create the policy and organization that has people who directly studying and working on this path come to focus on cybercrime because as I said cybercrime usually has very organized and professional, if normal people who don’t have deep knowledge about this topic come to manage cybercrime case, it may do something wrong or slow when cybercrime happen, so we should have a specialist who has experience with the technology and digital come to be counselor about technology for a nation that will always prepare a plan and suggest about changing the law for the cybercrime which may happen in the future from the advancement of technology, and also have a duty such as protect people, detect the criminal, recovery when has cybercrime happen, etc. Moreover, at the local and state level, the government should support some organizations in the local community to always provide clear basic information and new knowledge about digital things and cybercrime that make people in the community can prevent to being the victim of crime, it will also make a citizen and nation know how to cope the problem from the advancement of technology. This solution will make the legal system has a more effective and rapid response when people need to be a part of the legal system for cybercrime. All of this is how to reduce the gap in the legal system response to technological advancement in my opinion.
