Hello there! Welcome to my about me page. My name is A’shya Reynolds, and I would love to share a bit about myself with you. I am from Stafford, Virginia, and since high school, I have been interested in the world of technology and cybersecurity. I graduated from Brooke Point High School in 2021, where my passion for the field started. After high school, I went to Germanna Community College. During my time there, I dedicated myself to expanding my knowledge and skills in the field of Information Technology and Cybersecurity. It was an experience as I researched different aspects of the field, improving my abilities and preparing myself for the challenges of the future of my career. Furthermore, I graduated from Germanna Community College with my Associate’s Degree, and then l decided to further my education at Old Dominion University (ODU).
Currently, I am a senior at ODU, pursuing my degree in Cybersecurity. The university has been a learning and growth experience, providing me with the necessary resources and guidance to thrive in the dynamic field. Right now, I am a Cybersecurity Intern working remote for the U.S Department of Justice (DOJ) Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), Office of Information Technology. When I graduate Spring 2025 from ODU with my Bachelor’s degree I will still be working as a intern until June 2025. Upon completing my Bachelor’s I will be working on my Master’s in Fall 2025 at ODU. My plan is to remain with DOJ after my internship ends and become a federal government employee within DOJ dealing with Cybersecurity.
As I continue on this exciting journey, I am committed to staying updated with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices. Cybersecurity is an ever-evolving field, and I believe in the importance of continuous learning and professional development to stay ahead of emerging threats. Beyond my academic and career pursuits, I enjoy dancing I am on the Exquisite Majorette dance team at ODU, shopping, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me better. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to connect.
