Interdisciplinary Theory & Concepts (IDS 300W)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interdisciplinary Theories and Concept is a writing intensive course. The focus of this course was the understanding of how different academic disciplines connect and how they can be put together to solve complex problems. My experience through this course explored various theories, concepts, and strategies of research while working on assignments that require critical thinking as well as strong communication. An experience I recall from the course was completing the interdisciplinary research paper, where I analyzed the topic by combining perspectives from multiple fields. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This experience was especially challenging as it really challenged me to think. Critically and from all possible perspectives and improve my skills such as research, analytical thinking and professional writing. We had to find a not very broad research question and had to gather information from different sources, evaluate it and present the ideas clearly Using structured arguments. This course did improve my ability to Problem solve as well as view multiple perspectives from not only business but community Which is Important. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This course definitely was a fun experience as I had to cover a topic of the dangers of AI, autonomous military weapons and its dangers. This one was difficult to come up with as we had to come up with a very broad topic and as well as have enough scholarly sources. I really like this one as I myself have worked in a military base and working around military people and the thought of AI rapidly evolving and the government could possibly move towards autonomous weapons. That work on their own present a Double edged sword in its IT shows how far we have come with technology, but also it shows the dangers that too much advancement cannot always be a good thing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overall, the long term goals of. My career have been strengthened by the ability to communicate and analyze information effectively, and this course really helped challenge me in thinking outside the box and it’s something that really stuck with me and I apply it to any other assignments that I’ve had. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My artifact for this class will be my research paper as that one. Was a long time in the making and really something I am proud of as it was a very fun and memorable experience to make. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My research paper went over the challenges of AI powered autonomous weapons user computer science, ethics, and public policy. This work demonstrates my ability to research, think critically across different disciplines and apply these skills to real world cyber issues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
