I had to figure out how to write metaphors and similes to represent the reading in Spanish. To overcome my difficulty of creating similes and metaphors I searched up different examples of figurative language in Spanish. While reading the Times Magazine news articles I learned several new words such as &#8220;<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">agr<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00ed<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">cola&#8221;, &#8220;techos&#8221;, y &#8220;refugiar&#8221;. Writing this composition helped me with my reading and writing skills. I was able to read the Times Magazine article without much need of using word reference.
