The U.S. is the top cyber superpower in the world today. No question about that due to a very strong legal framework we can prosecute and protect people from cybercrime. However we could be doing a little better, according to broadbandsearch.net we have a disproportionate amount of cyber attacks within our borders. Due to this, France is the most cyber secure country in the world according to broadbandsearch.net, an impressive feat if you ask me. Next global superpower worth comparing is China and Russia. The two superpowers across the ocean from us. Lets just say Russia and the US have not been on great terms with each other. It’s not a myth that important U.S. infrastructure has been targeted by hackers from Russia. It was also made clear that the Russian Government has been censoring western media since the invasion of Ukraine. However Cybercrime inside of Russia is rather minimal. Making Russia a decently cyber secure country to live in. If you don’t mind the censorship. Unfortunately with China it is mostly the same story with the government targeting various industries and organizations around the world for personal gain. However attacks from inside the border are rather sparse. Making it similar to Russia. Now I’m going to move my attention to one of the least cyber secure countries in the world. Unfortunately for Algeria almost one in four phones have a form of malware and one in three computers have a form of malware as well. There are few attacks that originate from here but are still subject to cyber attacks due to the near absence of any form of a legal framework. The last country I will refer to is subject to a high amount of crypto jacking from crypto miners. Crypto jacking is when someone installs software into your device to mine for crypto currency. Uzbekistan has the highest number of crypto jackers making it essential to either use a VPN while using public wireless internet hotspots or not use these public wireless internet spots at all. After learning about these countries I am glad to live in a country that has a proper cybersecurity framework to protect myself and others.
