My major is nursing, and I chose this because I enjoy making a positive difference in peoples lives. Many people have experienced bad nurses, or people in the healthcare field in general, and I want to change that. I plan to be a travel nurse because being so combines two things I really love; traveling and helping people. Being a travel nurse allows me to adjust to different environments and healthcare facilities. Some may say this is a con, but I believe it is a pro of being a travel nurse and another reason I take interest in this career. Once I have some experience in the nursing field, I possibly plan to go to Physician’s Assistant School or become a Nurse Practitioner. I chose this route because I want to be able to treat my patients, and focus on their overall wellbeing without being bombarded with hundreds of other tasks as doctors tend to have. I don’t have any experience in this field besides volunteering for a blood drive with the American Red Cross. However, I hope to obtain some in the near future.
