AT: Assignment 5
Doing kind things for other people is something that not everyone does and is not something that is required, but with doing something kind for another person whether it is small or large it can create a feeling within a person that is worth it. This assignment required me to do something to “pay it forward” to another person, with having done this I felt happy in all of the moments that I did something kind for someone else regardless of if that person did something for me. The way that doing something kind for another person made me feel and as well made the other person feel was well worth it. With doing this assignment I as well learned that it is helpful to do kind things for another person to set a better example for others -like my daughter-. In addition to these findings with doing this assignment, I found that doing kind things for another person can help to shape behaviors for myself and others. This is something has has been discussed within psychology and psychologist pay close attention to the behaviors of others. This assignment truly helped me to understand how the small things that one may do for another can be helpful for behaviors and attitudes in many different situations. Doing something kind to pay it forward for another may not be required, but it certainly can create a positive and happy feelings for oneself and others.

I chose this image as my visual because of what it says. It certainly isn’t required for people to be kind to others, but it is sometimes the right thing to do and may even brighten up another persons day. So, I feel this quote is something that should be told to many to help create better examples and a more positive world.
AT: Assignment 4
Love is something that I have always found to be a very interesting topic to discuss and I want for myself one day. Due to my interest in love, I found this assignment to be the most fascinating and I truly enjoyed every moment that I got to spend doing this assignment. The styles of love questioner was very interesting and a helpful source to use for one to understand themselves as a lover and in my opinion seemed to even be a way to work on things that may be a problem error for lovers. As well, this assignment was very helpful in tying into another course of mine and seeing how the different types of love styles can be used in understanding the relationship stories/love stories that I have read about in my other course.

This image is one that I chose for my takeaway of this assignment because, in a way there are different types of love/styles of love and they all in a way make up the way that someone may love another. Just as the way that there are different ways that the word love can be written, there are many styles that love can come in, but it ultimately it is a type of love no matter what.
AT: Assignment 3
Assignment 3 Prejudice was one that I learned a lot from and was surprised by the video attached with this assignment. I often times hear about prejudice, discrimination, etc. but I have never personally experienced it or even witnessed it in such a strong and hateful way as what seemed to have taken place in the video of Michael Richard’s tirade. In addition to having seen how discrimination can really look for those with deep hatred, I as well learned that not all situations where someone may use a racial slur do they intend to hurt someone, but you can tell by ones language choice and behavior what their true feelings are. I personally have never experienced this, so I have not noticed that when someone has had hatred for another group of people/race there is different wording used, a different tone of voice and sort of “clues” so to speak that show their true feelings behind what they are saying. I have had friends that make jokes about other races, but they are said in a jokingly manner and they do not ever really act on their feelings in the way that those with true hatred seem to. This assignment even helped for me to get an even better understanding of prejudice, discrimination, etc. than what I got from the textbooks definitions and chapter itself.
This image is one that I chose to express what I personally took from this assignment. That being that we as humans should truly just love one another and stop discrimination/racism. There is no true reason to judge people based on who or what they are, we may not approve of some choices that people make, but that has nothing to do with what someone is as far as race and so forth, but that is more so judgement against their poor decisions. Which this type of judgement does not always create stereotypes and discrimination against entire groups of people, which is what we need to stop. I hate to see so much hate in the world, so it is disappointing and sad to see that people can behave in such a way like what I saw in with this assignment, I just hope that one day there will be a change and everyone can be treated equal like we all truly are.

AT: Assignment 2
Assignment 2 the self was a very interesting assignment for me to complete. I tend to be a very photogenic person, but because I am this type of person I often times look back on photos and think things to myself about the photo. Like, what was going on during the photo, who I was with, how I felt and other details similar to those; I tend to remissness on the “good times” so to speak. There are also moments though, where the photos that I look back on remind me of times where I was happier with myself (less stressed) and had a higher self-esteem; my lower self-esteem is mainly due to weight fluctuations over the past few years.
So, this assignment was interesting for me in the sense that I had to write out and truly express my thoughts about photos of myself (and some of loved ones) and it made me truly realize a lot about the person that I “used to be” and the person that I am now. Though, there are pros and cons to having this feeling, not just one sided “good” or “bad”. I truly appreciated this assignment because it gave me a chance to reflect and really focus on myself. Much like the chapter that was associated with this assignment “The Self” I realized things about my self-esteem, among other self related topics that were discussed throughout this chapter. With those “self” topics learned, I am able to apply them to my daily life. For instance, I put forth the effort every day to at least work-out for 30 mins or to run 1 mile (and more exercise some days). This is one thing that I have learned is not only healthy for me, but will help me to boost my self-esteem and create a happier me.
The image that I have attached with this assignment is one that stuck with me for a couple reasons. One because I recently have the opportunity of traveling to Greece and while I was there I found myself “in love” so to speak with the culture and the way that everyone was, so this word being Greek and the meaning felt so meaningful. In addition to that reason, the definition alone is what I am going through and what I took away from this assignment. I am changing myself and my journey through life and making it a much happier and even more positive one.
