Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing

This course introduces the basic terminologies used in ethical hacking and useful tools in relation to penetration testing on Kali Linux. Students will learn to explore the vulnerabilities in various systems and operate the industry-leading tools and framework to perform the penetration testing on different target systems.

The course objectives for this course are to:

  • Know the basics of ethical hacking
  • Understand the laws that govern ethical hacking
  • Complete scanning and enumeration
  • Complete system hacking
  • Test and breach web applications and data servers
  • Write scripts using Bash and Python
  • Complete a penetration test and report

Multiple lab assignments have been assigned to reinforce the above course objectives. Below are a few examples that demonstrate conducting packet sniffing, ARP spoofing attack, and the use of the Metasploit framework:
