Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational Modes of Communication
Instructions
Exploring Culture
Watching YouTube videos on examples and pronounciation helped tremendensley throughout this class. As well as asking friends that are fluent in Spanish speaking for help.
These products helped me better understand what I’m learning as well as physical examples to go by as a learning preference. These products challenged my worldview by better understanding the culture and traditions I didn’t know. The challenges were to just take the time to learn and understand the different cultures and how the language is spoken.
Engaging in Communities
The value and importance of engaging in my immediate community and the global community is learning the different languages and traditions other cultures have. Being able to learn new things and share that information and help others wanting to learn as well.
Interpersonal Communication
The discussion boards really helped me by seeing and sharing thoughts about the given assignments. It was nice to see others perpectives and thoughts of the assignments. I enjoyed that portion of the online class participation. Next time I will take full advantage of every opportunity given in the class to learn new information.
Presentational Speaking
The presentational speaking activities were always fun and I learned more by having a partner to go through it with. Some challenges with this portion of the class was communication between my partner and I. Next time I would make sure to contact my partner earlier so everything can be more than enough done before the deadline.
Presentational Writing
The presentational writing of compositions, pamphlets, blogs, flyers, stories, and other written presentation activities were challenging but very informational. As I completed more of these activities, it became easier to complete them. Next time I will take more time to complete these activities.
Interpretive Listening
The interpretive listening portion of the class was the most difficult for me. I’m more of a hands on learner and physical learner, so the audio portion I didn’t do so well in. Next time I just need to really pay attention and try to understand it better.
Interpretive Reading
The interpretive reading communication activities in this class were clear and available. I can admit that I didn’t take advantage of these outlets. Next time I will do differently and better my time to these resources. Overall the class was vert informational and I learned more than I knew in the beginning of the semester. I am very pleased with the class and overall experience.
