I choose this major because I have always had a passion to be in the medical field and to help promote the importance of staying healthy. Specifically, I chose this field because of the relationship connection between patients and nurses.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Parallel Major: Health Services Administration<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> I chose Health Services Administration because I have grown an interest in the business field but yet still have a passion for health care and helping others. I was drawn towards this major because of the leadership role that graduates take on after college. By earning a degree in Health Services Administration, I will have the opportunity to gain management and leadership experience, specifically in healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>List some interesting facts about this major.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Outpatient Care centers are one of the top industries with highest concentration of employment with this degree.\u00a0<\/li><li>The average salary for Health Exective at large teaching hopitals earn around $1.7 million dollars<\/li><li>Currently, state and private hopitals employ the highest number of health administrators<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Research at least one career that you can do with this major and provide information on that career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Community Health Director: plan, direct, and coordinate medical and health services. Being a community health director, you\u00a0are in charge of a medical facility\u2019s outreach programs. They design, implement, manage, and promote policies and programs that involve the community in disease prevention and health promotion.
