For my Parallel Plan I chose to switch the colleges of sciences, and pursue a major in Biomedical Sciences. I am already 49% into pursuing this major so I wouldn’t have that much classes left to take, and it is something that I have always been interested in. I chose this major because like I said before it is something I have always found interesting, and I one of the career paths that I was interested in required this degree. An interesting fact is this career is actually a rapidly growing career.
Biomedical engineers are also working on making artificial organs, and I find that extremely cool. With a degree in Biomedical science I could be Forensic Technologist, along with following a career in toxicology, and I could also be a Biomedical Researcher. Forensic Technologist basically provide explainable evidence to the courts in a criminal investigation, by testifying about their findings based on the evidence. A career in Toxicology includes working several different fields of study, including biology, chemistry, pharmacology, medicine, and nursing, to assess the safety and biological effects of drugs, chemicals, agents, and other substances on living organisms. Although this still requires a lot more levels of education. Another good career would be Biomedical Researcher. Being a Biomedical Researcher consist of spending you day basically researching medical interest of yours or somebodies interest. These researcher work in hospitals, schools, and basically lots laboratory work.
Since with the classes I am already taking makes me 49% done with the major it makes the switch pretty easy. Although it would be easy I still would need to take a lot of classes including:

I also need all of the classes in the first circle

And I also need one of the ones in the last circle and the last picture to complete the department requirements. There are some more classes in which I must take, but I am only putting the major classes.
In order to help me further this career path and learn more about it I can always ask other Biomedical Students about their journey as well as meet with the biomedical Advisory or an Advisor that knows more information about the major.( Kerri Musick)
