End of term reflection

One thing I learned in class was how T-cells and B-cells interact with pathogens. Learning how things interact and behave with each other is interesting to me in any form. From how computer hardware communicates to each other to how our cells talk to each other. My major is computer science, which intersects immunology by using simulations and models to help researchers study complex immune processes and predict outcomes that are challenging to observe experimentally. Models like agent-based simulations, differential equations, and network analyses help understand immune dynamics, signaling pathways, and cellular interactions. Simulations also streamline vaccine development through virtual testing and epitope prediction, reducing costs and accelerating progress.
