Academic focus includes mechanical design, strategic problem-solving, and practical applications of engineering concepts. Skilled in welding and communication, with a commitment to hands-on learning through coursework and technical projects. I chose to attend Old Dominion University as it is local to me, and I had wanted to since the 9th grade when I participated and won a science fair at the university. I chose to study mechanical engineering as how machines operate has always fascinated me, as well as my love for fixing things, no matter what they are. I was the president of the motorsports racing team here at ODU, where we designed, fabricated, and raced internationally. I hope to gain knowledge from this course to further my abilities in automotive design.
