Promoting Electric Propulsion (PEP) for Small Craft is an educational and competitive program to foster the development of electric boats in the United States. Academic focus includes mechanical design, strategic problem-solving, and practical applications of engineering concepts. Skilled in welding and communication, with a commitment to hands-on learning through coursework and technical projects. Recent experience at Culbertson Marine Construction involved contributing to marine operations by applying technical drawings, maintaining boats and barges, and thriving in a fast-paced environment. <\/td><\/tr>
\"\"<\/td>Matthew Heare<\/strong> – I am a current undergraduate at Old Dominion University, studying Mechanical Engineering Technology. I chose to attend Old Dominion University as it is local to me, and I had wanted to since the 9th grade when I participated and won a science fair at the university. I chose to study mechanical engineering as how machines operate has always fascinated me, as well as my love for fixing things, no matter what they are. I was the president of the motorsports racing team here at ODU, where we designed, fabricated, and raced internationally. I hope to gain knowledge from this course to further my abilities in automotive design. Particularly in the field of performance tuning, where this course would give me the ability to understand fuel systems and or new hydraulic suspension systems.<\/td><\/tr>
