Cyber Law
Students will obtain a wide understanding of constitutional, civil, criminal, and other legal issues that may emerge in the context of employment or citizenship in an increasingly cyber/digital environment. Whether the student chooses a career in the public or private sectors, the student will gain insight into the limits and authorities on government and private sector activities ranging from the creation and protection of intellectual property to the investigation of illegal cyber activities and the considerations of cyber operations in an increasingly dangerous world. Course Material
Through the removal of Blackboard, I lost the proposal for a cyber law that would enhance cybersecurity in the country. I wrote for the cyber literacy act being passed through senate as the time I wrote the essay it was being passed by the House of Representatives. The main theme of my paper was that through educating the population on cyber literacy the increasing rate of cyber attacks will lessen due to how much human error plays a role in cyberattacks. Two problems are taken down with the passing of one law but I also wrote about the NIST Framework for Cybersecurity, a law that I believe is necessary but needs further additions to be perfect.
