Collaboration Unit

This unit is a culminating project for the MLIS program and brings together the understanding of the instructional strategies, and of learners and their needs.  In coordination with the high school librarians and a special education teacher, the lessons focused on using library databases to research economic data for a project-based unit.  Developing and revising lesson plans in alignment with the SOLs and AASL standards, graphic organizers, assessment, and a final analysis of data were key elements of the unit.  The final report includes demographic information, lesson plans and video, the pre and post data, student work examples, and reflection.
