As a recipient of a School Library Leadership Mentor scholarship from ODU, I attended a dinner with current and past AASL and VAASL leadership at the VAASL conference in November 2021.  I wrote an article for VAASL Voices which is included below.  The sessions I attended included National History Day, blackout poetry, and current resources relating to the AASL standards with Dr. Church. This past March, I attended the online 2022 spring VAASL conference and wrote a report about a keynote speaker, and pre-recorded sessions on book selection.  The networking, modeling of access, leadership and advocacy was valuable.
