From the beginning I did not see the significance in using the E-portfolio. I felt as if it was a waste of time and non-beneficial to the writing process. As I progressed through the class, I realized how this could help me. Every essay and reflection needed to be posted on the website; this showed me my growth from essay number one to essay number four. Being able to go back and review how I wrote before versus how I write now makes for great practice. A common trend for all my essays is comma splices. That is the one issue I was not able to conquer in this class. From the portfolio, I have learned my reflections were easy. Being able to speak in the first-person form made it easier to format my thoughts into a small essay. I think overall the E-portfolio project was very beneficial. Having a visual example of how you’ve grown over the semester shows you what you need to improve on.
