For remix 6 it was all about pre-training. Pre-training is very important and helpful whenever someone is first getting into something, whether it be a new job, a new class, or anything, it is always helpful to know the basics. For this remix I chose to use my Monarch orientation experience. I was previously a general monarch orientation leader the year prior, but I was able to move up to a higher position due to my outstanding performance. As a Monarch Orientation Coordinator, I was able to teach, lead, and manage the new monarch orientation leaders. I was able to train them prior to orientation day so they knew all the information they would need in order to be successful. We went through many terms they would hear, frequently asked questions they may get, as well as practice giving tours so they are able to give accurate directions to families and students if needed. This training helped them in many ways to be best prepared to engage with students and their families. Also, whenever a question came up that they were not prepared for the orientation leader would find the answer from the appropriate source, and then bring the question and solution to the group of orientation leaders so that if anyone else gets a similar question they are then prepared.
