I am currently pursuing a Dental Hygiene Major. I chose this field because I love to hear the compliments I receive from my smile. Hearing those compliments made me think of how many people are insecure of their smiles because they don’t feel the confidence they should just because of the appearance of their teeth. Knowing that, I decided that just by me helping people improve their smile, just to improve their overall self confidence, would make me feel better about myself contributing to the general public. During high school, I attended Norfolk Technical School where I studied Dental Assisting. In this program, I received 900 credit hours of dental work while working on patients as well as receiving a certification in Basic Life Support and Radiation Health and Safety.
