Based on Davin Teo\u2019s Digital Forensics\u2019 TED talk, I would consider the speaker to be lucky to fall into digital forensics. By trade, the speaker was an accountant, and the organization needed someone in IT to help with their networks. Thus, the speaker took advantage of this opportunity based on his tinkering with computers and his mindset of being able to handle this position. The speaker\u2019s interest grew in IT, while doing accounting at the same time. As a result, he got involved in digital forensics at one of the first digital forensics practice in Australia. This firm sent emails about starting a digital forensics team, and the speaker took advantage of this opportunity despite not knowing what it is. It seems strange to me that the speaker thought the words: \u201cdigital forensics\u201d sounded cool and thought this field was for him. My thoughts about digital forensics are that it\u2019s an interesting field to be involved in.
