The issue being addressed is the water pollution in China and how it is becoming a serious problem in the Pearl River. The Pearl is relied on for a quick efficient pathway for trades and other foreign events. A significant amount of China’s population is also affected by this pollution as it affects their everyday lives. The solutions to the pollution include removal of the trash and toxins currently there and ensure the water can settle with no problems and keeping trash out of the water. The water is not suitable for drinking and leaves some people without a reliable source for water. Marine life is effected the most as the fish are in danger by the toxins and trash all over the place in their own home. Are big corporations responsible for the trash or just bad citizens in the area not caring for the water? If people in the area become more responsible and learn to care for the river things will flow smoother not only in the economy as businesses would start flowing again but in the environment and lead to a better earth.
