- Were you surprised by the results of the quiz compared to what you listed as your dream role?
Yes, I am very surprised by the results of the quiz compared to my dream role because my result sounds nothing like me and sounds like something I would be miserable doing. I do not enjoy working with computers or technology at all, and would rather be doing something hands on and interactive, preferably face to face.

Part 2: Apply to your Dream Job – 50 points
- Think about the job postings you submitted for Part 1, and the knowledge, skills, and abilities you’ll need. Did these jobs match what you had in mind for your dream job? Did you find your dream job? Describe the similarities and differences.
These jobs were somewhat a match for what I had in mind for my dream job, but were not exact. Although I found physical therapy jobs that were in an acute care setting, I could not find any that mentioned anything about wound care management.
- From the 3 job postings you found, choose one job you want the most, and use the list of skills required for the job of interest. Identify skills you already have and identify skills you are still building or need more experience performing. Discuss options to sharpen or learn the skills you will need to gain.
From the 3 job postings, I would probably want posting #2. Although it is not exactly the same as what my stated dream job was, it seems super interesting to me and sounds like something I would love to be doing. I am working on my bachelor’s now, and then will go on to get my doctorate along with the state certification. I already have my BLS certification, however I will most likely have to get it renewed. I have the skill of teamwork down, as I always do my part in a group and I am good at assigning roles. I am also very dependable, therefore that makes me a better fit to be in a team, because the other members will be able to count on me. I have already learned some of the common transfers and gait patterns in the PT program I participated in while in high school, therefore those skills will help me in my future. As for areas of improvement, I would need to gain more hours of experience as I have only received them from a shadowing opportunity at a singular outpatient clinic. For example, I could shadow or possibly intern at local hospitals, research facilities, outpatient clinics, etc. to see which spot is the right fit. Getting more experience with social communication skills within different settings and different populations will definitely help me expand my skill set and have a better chance of getting these types of jobs when it comes to applying.
