Hello, My name is Tierra Banks. I was born and raised in Norfolk, VA. I am a Criminal Justice major with aspirations of becoming a criminal defense attorney. I chose criminal justice as my major because the criminal justice system is broken. I have hopes that one day I will be apart of the change to help fix it. I enjoy helping people and making an impact on lives as well. From ENGL 211, I have learned how to use statistics and facts to help with my research for my criminal justice papers.<\/p>\n
My final project was about the issue of Youth Incarceration and Juvenile Detention Reform<\/em>. I use a lot of intrinsic proofs that I learned in ENGL 211 class to show that youth incarceration is increasing in America. This is an on-going issue in America because taxes are going up to accommodate youth incarceration.\u00a0 Also, graduation rates are dropping due to youth being incarcerated.
