From the start I struggled with making this portfolio but with many revisions and a better understanding on how to create a portfolio I feel that I have a good end result with my portfolio.  When I first started the portfolio I didn’t even know what it was for but now I understand how to add pages, how to properly introduce myself and my writings, and why this is useful. Ive learned that the portfolio helps me understand my own writing a little better. Within the annotated table of contents, having to describe my writings helps me understand why I liked or disliked them and the bigger picture of them. Interpretations of reading help you see other sides but they also help you see what you do and do not agree with or like and that can influence what you put in your writings or how you write them. Throughout my writing assignments I have learned to love writing more then I ever have before and that makes a huge difference on how I write because now I can take my time and put more effort into it because I do not feel like it is a hassle to do. My least favorite assignment was the Informal Writing because it was summarizing an article, to me summarizing is like being told to do something without being told why, it is like a salad with no dressing or a hamburger with no toppings. It is boring and repetitive where you only point out the main points, not why they’re main points which I believe ultimately leads to misunderstanding. I look forward to using this portfolio to see how I myself have grow as a writer in the future looking back at it. I also know it will be useful showing to future employers, or schools.
