Introduction

Reflection

In this section I am going to talk about the writing, reading, and oral portions of the course and how I think it was.

Alright, first I am going to talk about the writing parts. I think I did pretty well on my writing skills in Spanish overall. In the 2 compositions that we had to do for Spanish, I did well on talking about what was asked to be talked about. The composition that I liked the most was the one where we talked about our family members. The mail issue that I faced on the drafts, was that I would put things out of order. I haven’t always been very good at grammar for English and the same goes for Spanish as well from what I saw. Even in class, my professor would help me fix my mistakes for when I would respond to one of her question’s or when we were doing group assignments. Working on my Spanish grammar is definitely going ot be a main focus if I do continue Spanish.

Oral assignments and conversations is something I really have to work on a lot because it is my biggest weakness in this course overall. In the oral conversations that would need to be done with other students and even the professor were very difficult to do. One thing that I noticed personally is that I would freeze up a little and use “ummm” a lot of the time. On the last oral evaluation between another student and myself, I know i did bad because i froze up, and or forgot questions to ask. When it comes to speaking I am a lot slower and it can take me sometime to think about what they are asking me and how I would respond. I am definitely going to practice speaking with other students before our final oral evaluation with the professor.

Reading is my best and favorite part of the class. I have found that reading is definitely a lot easier to understand and do than speaking in conversations between people and writing.
