I am an evolutionary ecologist with an interest in the evolutionary dynamics of marine populations, particularly in the context of environmental change. My research focuses on understanding the capacity of natural populations to adapt to ongoing climate change, and the role adaptation may play in the persistence of species and populations through such environmental change. I have used a combination of field observations, laboratory experiments, and large-scale genomic studies to better understand these ecological and evolutionary dynamics in marine systems. My current work utilizes whole genome resequencing of hundreds of individual colonies to investigate the genomic basis of thermal tolerance in tropical Pacific corals.
