Cell Biology Meme

I chose this meme because I thought it was funny, I liked the movie it was referencing, and I wanted to find a meme related to transcription and translation. I also wanted to find a meme related to transcription and translation that did not focus solely on the difficulty of learning that concept.  The joke of the meme is that cells will continue to perform transcription and translation even though they are infected with the DNA of a virus, which leads to the production of more viruses in our bodies.

End-of-Term Reflection

One thing that I learned in this class that I know is going to help me in the future is DNA replication, transcription, and translation. This is a topic that biology students never get away from, and learning it in such detail is going to be an excellent advantage for me later on. Learning DNA replication, transcription, and translation in this class also helped me this semester because I had to learn those concepts in my Anatomy and Physiology class after we had already gone over them in this class. So, I was already ahead of my class when we were learning it there. Overall, I’ve really enjoyed this class. I know that a lot of the things I’ve learned in this class, besides DNA replication, transcription, and translation, are going to show up later on in my academic career, so I’m glad I was able to learn them here.
