Cyber technology has changed the way that offenders and victims interact. Now it is a lot easier to become a victim of cybercrime and a lot harder to know who is committing the crime. Some older people are more likely to become a victim to cybercrimes because they are not used to technology and the lengths that some people will go to to make them a victim. Even though it is a little easier to trick some older people cybercriminals will target any and everybody. Offenders will make fake links that look extremely realistic for victims to click on and steal their information. Cyber technology makes it so that anyone in the world can commit a cybercrime anywhere and anytime. Someone in England can try to steal someone in America’s information and it would be close to impossible to not only find them, but actually prosecute them for the crimes that they have committed. Anyone with a basic understanding of hacking can steal certain information and there is very little we can do about it. Cyber technology in a way takes the face away from the criminal making it harder to find out who is committing these crimes. Cyber technology creates an open field for anyone who wants to commit a crime.
