Reflective Cover Letter
During my summer semester taking IDS 493 I have undertaken the creation of an ePortfolio to highlight academic and scholarly achievements. Using the provided course roadmap, I applied learning objectives taught throughout the course to visually remix eight artifacts. After completing a remix, I posted the assignment in; Google Drive, Dropbox, and then posted each remix to WordPress.

Using a critical thinking process I analyzed each lesson to ensure learning objectives were met and applied to course assignments. When additional creative processing was necessary, I collaborated with fellow students to expand on the quality my assignments.
My learning was demonstrated from the very first remix, for me this was applying CARP to my resume. C:\Users\sb799\Desktop\beaver-resume.png. This was also my first point of workplace application. Although I currently work in international security and do not have a need for a resume, I can apply CARP elements to internal workplace tasks, when appropriate.
The area I feel I was most successful was the application of media elements, https://youtu.be/4jrd8k7PTjo. Although I didn’t apply any visual addons to my YouTube video, this was my first use of video media in schoolwork. As such, I felt like this assignment was a huge victory for my ePortfolio, and will aim to incorporate more media in future assignments when it is allowed.
Skills attained during this course will serve me well in future classes by enabling me to visually enhance assignments. Words can only convey so much, the addition of media in my future work will assist in getting my message across any given medium.
