I am succeeding in Music History because I am genuinely interested in what I am learning, therefore, completing the assignments and participating comes easy to me. As I said before, I currently hold good grades in all of my classes. College Algebra is the class I currently hold the lowest grade for. I have not made any major adjustments to my routine since the beginning of the semester. My grades remain sufficient enough to not need tutoring and I have yet to face a problem that prompts me to change the way I do things.

Transition to College

Prior to attending college I intentionally did not want to have many expectations. I did this because I did not want to create an idea in my head then later be disappointed if my expectations were not met. However, my few expectations have been met. I have made many friends and built a community that has motivated me to succeed. I always knew being a college student was a full-time position, however, I was shocked to realize that being a college student truly feels like it is 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The toughest challenge with moving is adjusting to the schedule and preferences of your roommate.

Major

There is a surprising amount of various jobs that Exercise Science majors can work in. They can work outside of a clinic or a sports field, they can also hold industrial jobs and work for major companies. My thoughts on my major have only positively changed since the beginning of the semester. The more I have learned about my major and talked to current professionals within the sports medicine field I have become more excited to complete my degree. I am interested in both Public Health or a Foreign Language as a minor.

Connecting to Campus

I fortunately have faced no problems or challenges this semester, therefore I have not had the need to utilize any outside resources. My friends and classmates have been very helpful. My friends in my history class and I study together and help each other complete assignments. I did not attend any interest meetings for any clubs, however, I still joined the women’s club soccer team. I chose to get involved with club soccer because I enjoy soccer and wanted to regularly participate in something that was not related to my academics.

Study Habits I am currently doing well in all of my classes, however, the class that I am performing the best in is my Music History class.
