A Little About Myself

Hello, my name is Ben Easterday, I’m from Hampton, and I’m now a JR at ODU. My major is cybersecurity as a career. I want to pursue a career in the military as a cybersecurity specialist, so I can get my experience from the military and transfer it to the civilian world. I’ve developed an interest in cybersecurity at ODU because I realize that as the world gets more technologically advanced, society will need more people specialized in the cybersecurity field.

Small Facts About Me

I’ve always wanted to attend ODU because I always wanted to go to a tech school and play some type of sport. I now play college club rugby and intermural football for ODU, which is one of the funniest college experiences I have had so far. I have several awards from JROTC and ROTC and am also trying to keep a high GPA, which in itself I consider a reward. My outlook on life is to spread peace, positivity, and love to the people around me. I have a cat named Ollie; he is an orange tabby, so I love him. I often call him my son because he’s weird, and I consider myself weird.
