Hello! My name is Bene Tarekegn, and I am originally from Ethiopia. Currently, I’m a second-year student at Old Dominion University, pursuing a degree in cybersecurity. My passion for technology, combined with my curiosity to explore how we can secure our digital world, led me to choose this exciting and impactful field.

In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer and fixing electronics, which helps me stay connected to the tech side of things. I chose cybersecurity because it’s both a helpful and fun area to be in, and I am eager to dive deeper into the technical aspects of the field.

While I haven’t had any formal jobs or internships in cybersecurity yet, I am a quick learner, always ready to take on new challenges and enhance my skills. My goal is to graduate with a strong foundation in cybersecurity and eventually contribute to making our digital spaces safer for everyone.
