Test number 3 demonstrated my work in being able to understand, select and use pumps as well as the applications of different pumps. It also gave me a chance to test my ability to analyze, explain, and solve problems related to fluid dynamics in pipes and fittings arranged in series, focusing on energy losses and system efficiency.

Following the test, we were required to a self assessment. What I want to bring up here, is that I was determined to learn from my mistake rather than just accepting the loss of some points. I went back through every formula and variable on the excel sheet until I figured out I used the wrong relative roughness (page 4, part a and aa). Once I updated that number, I could correctly calculate pump head and pump power for the client.
