CHP 430W lead by Professor Jim Bellamy is a Community Health Research and Promotion lecture. This class is a writing intensive class that teaches public health through medical, social and environmental factors. Throughout the class, we would analyze articles and explain how it would contribute to the class. This portion was not that difficult to me, and I was able to relate the class to real life situations. At the end of the class, we had to write a paper. I chose to write my paper about Prescription Drug Overdose. This subject is something that is ravishing the healthcare field at the moment which really caught my attention. This paper really opened my eyes. Even though this was required for my major, it was also required for the program. I am happy that I took this class. It makes more goals more visible in the healthcare field. I want to fight against this pandemic, help African American women who suffer from maternal mortality, and help individuals who are not able to have access to health ins
