First it is important to define computer here for our context as to refer computers and all systems (hardware and software) in a computer enabled technology. Now, contribution of computer systems for the safe world interaction can go both ways, safer at some point and less safe at other point.

     Safety from the perspective of physical-wellbeing, computers and computers systems has enormously minimized unnecessary consumption of resources, for example human labor. These days’ computer and computer aided machines by providing safer technological alternatives are contributing to the safety of human well beings till the point of increasing the life-expectancy humans. Labor intensive tasks such as agriculture, factories, plants, waste management works are made safer through creating computer and technological enabled management tools, which yields safer working environment.

     Safety from a perspective of convenience and prospect of easing people life, computer is playing a vital role in many sectors of human life. In healthcare computer technology is providing a new arena of discovery insights to medicine and research. In education, computers are providing tools, mechanisms and platforms for a safe and smooth learning interaction of students and teachers which can’t be done otherwise. Financial transaction and banking services are also enabled and doable without physically appearing in these financial institutions.  

     Safety from the perspective of information security, computer plays both helpful and harmful roles. Safety is assured as much as our data and information is kept secured. Computers and computer systems help us to manage and sort large sum of our data like email, social media accounts, videos, voice calls etc. Computer by providing tools like encryption, two factor authentication and facial and finger print recognition are contributing in making communication safe. On the other hand however the same computer which helps us does these amazing things can be hacked and manipulated and used to harvest our data without our consent or knowledge. As a result of our personal information being out in the web, our safety can in turn be at risk.
