On the other hand however cyber technology has also been in the front line of solving complex crimes, which could have remained mysteries forever, otherwise.

       In today’s technologically advanced world, crimes committed by offenders, online or virtually can be as harmful and destructive as they can be in the physical world. As people’s life has increasingly been lived online, the impact of crimes committed on the internet can be enormous on a victim.      On the contrary cyber technology has also contributed on bringing crimes lower by offering many technologically advance devices and resources in securing data and information. These technologies have practically helped on saving victims from being preys of perpetrators by providing technologies like, Encryption, two factor authentication, digital forensics and Biometric technologies (facial recognition, finger print identification, video surveillance,  and iris recognition). In this way technology has refined many tricks which could have been manipulated and exploited by offender. Even though technology has been the market place for offenders and victims, it has also been a source of solution for crimes which could have been impossible to tackle without technology.
