Gene editing has become a very real thing in today’s society. You can edit things of peoples DNA like diseases, height, skin, and much more. If you look at it through a medical perspective it can be a very good way to keep a very healthy future for human beings. But then again if the cost to genetically edit DNA is incredibly high some people might have a problem with that. Gene editing will also become a problem in society for other reasons, it will make it possible for people to steal people’s DNA.

The first reason it will be an issue is that people will be able to sell certain peoples DNA for a high price to try to produce someone like that. Another reason it will be an issue is that people will be able to plant certain peoples DNA at crime scenes to frame them for a crime they didn’t do. It will ultimately come to a point where crime will be a lot harder to catch because of it because criminals will be able to sell certain peoples DNA on the black market or something that wouldn’t be traceable. The last reason it would be a issue could also be a good issue. For example if people find the best soldiers in modern society and get all of their DNA. They could mass produce soldiers who are incredibly capable and they would all be identical with almost no identity. They would be almost like weapons which is incredibly scary.
