Researchers can use this website to analyze data breaches by examining compiled datasets, patterns, and trends. They also display the largest companies affected and the number of records impacted. I looked up the data breaches for Q1 of 2025 and saw that healthcare systems are consistently being attacked but the combined business sectors experienced the most incidents overall. A researcher would most likely group different sectors into their respective category and then evaluate they type of attack they faced. This is the hardest part because so many factors come into the picture such as; company size, current security practices, economic conditions, records exposed, etc.
