Review Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and explain how each level relates to your experiences with technology. Give specific examples of how your digital experiences relate to each level of need.

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs states that human motivation progresses as lower-level needs are satisfied, allowing individuals to focus on higher-level psychological goals. In my life, technology serves as a primary tool for fulfilling these needs. At the most basic Physiological level, I use food delivery apps on my smartphone to effortlessly order groceries and meals, ensuring my needs for food and water are met. For Safety, a network of Wi-Fi-enabled security cameras provides real-time monitoring of my home, creating a tangible sense of security and control over my environment. Belongingness and Love is maintained through consistent connection; FaceTime and messaging apps like are indispensable for nurturing relationships with family and friends across distances. My Esteem needs are met through gamified learning platforms like Duolingo, where climbing the leaderboard and maintaining a streak provides a visible sense of accomplishment and status. Finally, in pursuit of Self-Actualization, I use my Kindle and Audible apps to consume self-help and philosophical texts, actively seeking knowledge that contributes to my personal growth and potential. Thus, my digital experiences are deeply intertwined with this hierarchy, facilitating the journey from fulfilling basic necessities to achieving self-improvement.
