Learning about the collagen provided a connection to my field of interest within biology since I have an interest in dermatology. Since the collagen is the most abundant protein within the human body, I have learned that it is very important to take care of your skin. Learning about the collagen shows that cell biology is a valuable course to my study and field of interest. Retaining information about the collagen allowed me to open my understanding about the importance of healthy skin. Therefore, gaining knowledge about the collagen provided a connection to my field of interest.
