When I first attended my UNIV 150 class I didn’t know what to expect. my writing skills wasn’t much developed. Although it didn’t make much of a difference the first week of the class opened my eyes to different perspectives in terms of writing. I gained new knowledge about the different ways I can approach writing, I also learned that there are people at ODU including our teacher that is willing to help students to elevate their writing skills.\u00a0<\/span>My main\u00a0<\/span>struggle\u00a0<\/span>was<\/span>\u00a0punctuation, I had a hard time figuring out where to place the proper punctuation or where the next comma is going to be placed. I believe the important part of moving forward with writing is a constant practice, that explains why they say practice makes perfect. I also think the Internet is an excellent place to help you with writing. The Internet will give you many options<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0it will take you to different helpful sites, it will connect you to people who can help you, it will even show you a step by step guide for the writing process. The second week of class was still similar that out of the first week. my writing still needs work but with dedication and hard work<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>it can be fixed and improved. when I was in the process of writing essay one, I wa<\/span>s not<\/span>\u00a0much comfortable with peer review because my ability to examine and correct someone else’s paper was challenging. The reason for that\u00a0<\/span>was<\/span>\u00a0my writing skills and overall knowledge of writing wasn’t good enough to correct someone else’s paper. As a writer I had mixed feelings with the peer review because I thought my writing was bad and that made me slightly uncomfortable. At the end of week five<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>I learned the concept of writing\u00a0properly,\u00a0however it still needs work and I plan on fixing it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
