The course objectives outline goals that we should be able to achieve by the end of the semester. This course’s lessons will help me in that I will be able to utilize what I’ve learned while engaging and interacting with people from other cultures. Every day, we will interact with people from all backgrounds because we live in a huge melting pot. As a result, it is critical to be interculturally competent in order to demonstrate respect and inclusiveness. I aim to get a greater understanding of various cultures as a result of this course, as well as abilities that will help me to communicate and engage with individuals who are different from myself. To guarantee my success in this course, I will keep track of my notes and study each chapter completely. In addition, I will strive to incorporate the knowledge I acquire from this class into my daily life so that I may gradually improve those abilities. Most importantly I will make sure that I stay ahead of and on track with the schedule.

We're Different, We're the Same (Sesame Street Series) by Bobbi Kates, Joe Mathieu, Paperback | Barnes & Noble®

I choose this cartoon because it represents different cultures but also highlights how similar we are as humans in so many ways. I felt that this cartoon relates a lot to the intercultural sensitivity model reading. I loved the fact I believe that the children show Elmo is perfect for representing diversity. In this representation, it is easy for any individual to see how similar we are. While we may have different cultures we are the same.
