After watching the Jean Kilbourne video, I now see the big problem in media when advertising women. Media hasn’t always advertise the truth and they are still to this day trying to get it right. But they are more concern whats going to sell. People want to look and feel good and if the right company can convince them that their product can do the job, people will buy it. People grow up seeing these ads and believe that being perfect is the only way to achieve anything in life. The media projects this image of perfect being fit, have clear skin, and have long hair for women. Along with some other features. In today’s society somethings have changed but not a lot. Not being fit is socially acceptable now. Plus size models are now a thing but they aren’t representing every size for women. There’s still a lot to be addressed before ads aren’t hurting the true women’s image. I believe these images show how hurtful ads can be to the woman’s image.

This ad is promoting a drug that helps reduce heart problems and strokes. They brought a credible person to help apply to people. He’s a known doctor that seems trustworthy enough to help get people aware of two leading causes of death.
This advertisement is non-credible. The company trying to get people to buy their cigarettes use twisted wording to gain profit. Smoking is already bad for the health of someone. They lose credibility because they only want sales and profit.
This is an attractive source. I find it very effect because it’s trying to advertise a male perfume with a pretty good-looking guy. It catches the eye of the consumer and they probably believe that if they buy the perfume that they can be like the male model.

The first test of the semester didn’t go so well for me. I’m quite disappointed in myself with my performance. I learned that I was no where near prepared for this test at all. I need to change how I approach the material. Instead of reading the chapters after class, I should find the time to read the chapter before class. The weekend could be a great time for it. I will use this fall break to catch up on my readings. I didn’t space out the material and learned that I wasn’t going to be able to maintain all the information in time for the test. I just need to study little bit and pieces of the material weeks in advance to help retain the test material. I just can’t say I will do something and not do it. I have to follow the plan I made for myself if I want to see results. This picture is an easy representation of this topic.

I have a group of friends and we all listen to a variety of music. But we all come together when it comes to one of our favorite artist Logic. Logic has a message to send whenever he writes his music. His music uplifts me whenever I’m just not feeling like one hundred percent. My friends think the same way about his music. We share similar experiences in our up bringing. So does logic and he is proof that anyone can make it if you work hard enough. Even if you have a bad start.
