Awards & Recognition

As I stated in my resume, I have not earned any academic awards since I have been in college but I have earned a few awards for baseball. The award that I am most proud of in my collegiate baseball career so far is winning Conference-USA pitcher of the week. For those of you who are unsure of what that is, our conference contains 12 teams and each week, the head of the conference chooses a standout pitcher and a standout hitter for that week. 2 weeks ago, I was selected as the standout pitcher. This is something that I am extremely proud of because I am only a freshman and it showed me that I can actually compete with the guys that I am playing against on a daily basis. Attached below is the picture that was posted on social media for me.

The second award that I am very proud of is when I was 10 years old, I played for a team in my hometown called the Marlton reds. We were always an extremely tough team to beat but I never knew that we were the best 10 year olds in the entire world. In 2014, we went on to win the cal ripken world series located in Winchester, VA. This was something that was really eye opening for us and it gave us a ton of confidence as a small town team knowing that we were one of the best 10 year old teams in the entire country. Being so young, none of us really realized how cool it was to win something like that and a lot of the guys on the team still do not realize how cool that is. This is something that I will never forget about no matter how old I get. Attached below is a picture of us holding the banner that we were given.
