I am doing well in the majority of my classes, such as, chemistry, history, sociology, and this class. The reason I am doing well in these certain classes is because I pay good attention in class and have study groups for each class. The class I need the most help with is English, this is because the class is asynchronous and I usually struggle with those kinds of classes. Some changes I have made are partying less, spending more time on work, and developing good study habits.

Some expectations I had before college were taking responsibility for myself and my education, time management, and setting better goals every week. Mainly all of the expectations I have set for myself work out perfectly. I write notes every week reminding myself of what I need to improve on the next upcoming week and that is how I usually stick to my plan. Something I did not realize until coming to college is that professors are actually more helpful than highschool teachers explain them to be. Something that has surprised me the most is how much free time I actually have. Coming into college I had the mindset of never being able to have any free time to do school work or hang out with friends. The hardest challenge with moving away from home was leaving everything and everybody I grew up with. The way I make this easier for myself is I give myself plenty of distractions to not think about my home life.

To get into nursing school you have to genuinely do well in school or else you more than likely will not get accepted into the nursing program. My mind has been leaning towards other majors recently because nursing is a lot of work and can cause a lot of pressure on somebody. It is still my main goal to become a nurse but I have made a backup plan. Another major I would be interested in is psychology.

A challenge I have been having lately is lack of motivation for work. Some resources that have been helping me are attending office hours, taking away distractions, and changing my study habits. My roommate has definitely helped me the most because we are in basically all the same classes, so it makes it very easy for me to study and do homework with her. I currently have not been involved in any extracurricular activities or clubs, mainly because I have gotten so caught up with work lately that I have not been able to have time.
