This is an example of a fake website ^

As we can see above. The first picture depicts an obvious fake of the website Paypal. For one, the browser labels it as dangerous because it does not have proper certificates. Next we look at the address bar. On the real website in picture #2, we can see that it has a lock icon next to it, it is a simple www.paypal.com/signin. Whereas the fake website in picture #1 we can see that they have to add a lot of filler words in order to try and make it seem like you are going to a bill portion of paypals website. It also does not have a sub-domain.

This is a second example. The scammer adds a .co to the end of the top-level domain, .com. If you are paying attention, this is an easy to catch scam attempt and should be closed immediately. However for many users, this is a very clever way to get someone to click as the remainder of the address looks very legit.
For my third example I unfortunately do not have an image, however the address of the fake website is netflix.com.movies.com. This is another obvious fake to those not paying attention. But for those not and want to filter netflix by movies may be inclined to click on this link and end up entering their information on a fake website. However the real address for netflix movies is www.netflix.com/browse/genre/34399. Again there is no sub-domain on the fake, and they add movies to the address to make it seem like a legit link to the movies genre of netflix.
