Learning about redundancy while teaching and covering informational material reinforced how it interferes more with learning than anything else. It may be necessary to push a certain point at times (like giving readers the ability to move between slides or using text to reinforce what was just said, but more often than not it hinders learning by taking away from what the reader is hearing/reading.
